Back in the loop

  Sep 19, 2002

Just when I thought I might never get involved with multiplayer gaming again, it pulls me right back in.

A long time ago, it seems, I used to play "realistic" multiplayer shooters against opponents from all over the world, gathering on mutual game servers. Ones in which you pretty much died from one single hit of a bullet. I liked that, it served as an advantage for me as I'm a lot better when it comes to aim and clever tactics than I am playing, for instance, Quake "Capture the Rocket Launcher" Deathmatch.

But I digress, my new obsession is not a realistic multiplayer shooter, it's Unreal Tournament 2003, and it rules! I've grown especially fond of a play-mode in which there are two teams, one bomb/ball and each team's objective is to bring the bomb/ball to the other teams goal. They call it Bombing Run, I love it.

This time I'll stay on a sane, moderate level of gaming though. Playing only at times when I couldn't be doing anything else useful. Like, at night. (Help!)
