I'm afraid my professional commitments -- both my day job and my other after-hours projects -- as well as my volunteer work, perhaps in combination with my Taekwondo training (but I doubt it, if anything it's energizing), unables me to write creatively.
Or, perhaps it's the world that's uninspiring and boring. Or, perhaps it's a bit of both, certainly I should have thought of something like this. I know I'm certainly fed up with the US election, the war on terrorism, international matters; basically any topic which is dumbed down by the retarded policies of the Bush administration.
I wish Americans as well as the rest of the world the best of luck this tuesday, when the fates of millions of people throughout the world is decided by the corrupt and ineffective voting process taking place in the most "advanced" and "free" country in the world.
I predict that, should Kerry win, the supposed rise of "Anti-Americanism" in Europe will take a nosedive. Because, Americans and Europeans define "Americanism" very differently. Americans like to define basically anything that goes against whatever America, or part of America, is currently for as "Anti-Americanism". The opposition America is facing in Europe could more aptly be described as "Anti-far-right-wing-christian-religious-fundamentalism".
So, until further notice, which might come tomorrow, or more likely early next year, consider this weblog on hiatus. When we return, Jogin.com will have a new format, will be doing new things, in a new design, with new thoughts and new goals.
Update:
Congratulations, America -- you've voted for four more years of invasions and war, economic decline, deficit, poor education, fucking the environment, shitty healthcare, running Social Security into the ground and more. Good for you. Garret Murray
My condolences...

Your knowledge with regard to the United States, her politics, and her people is almost nonexistent. I say 'almost' because you at least know the name of the country, and I would sincerely hope you would at least be able to point it out on a globe (but even about that I have my doubts). Still, I must ask: how, and more importantly why, do you let these absurd inanities loose on the world?

Still, I must ask: how, and more importantly why, did the Americans let Bush loose on the world?

Bill: Your knowledge of my knowledge is, quite eerily, even more nonexistent.
How: I click "Publish".
Why: I feel like it.

Thanks for thinking/praying for Tuesday.
Your knowledge of us (yes I am an American but far from proud of it these days) is just fine and pretty spot on.
I say "pretty" because Bush is only the visible part of the problem. The real problem is that many Americans voted for him in 2000 and will vote for him again on Tuesday, even with what he has done to our country and to the world.
The real problem is that given what he has done, he still has a chance to win.
That means the problem isn't him, it's us.
And that, my friend, is the scary part.
If Bush wins on Tuesday there will be real trouble ahead and if he wins by a large margin he will feel a mandate to amp up the kinds of things he's been doing and will do a lot more of the same: Korea, Iran, more tax cuts for wealthy folks, etc.
But, again, the problem is really the voters who will vote for him on Tuesday.
Sorry Tomas, I rant.
I've missed your posts but know you're busy with work and will look forward to whatever you post in the future.
Thanks for what you do.

I was considering suggesting that you substitute "Anti-Bush-ism" for"Anti-far-right-wing-christian-religious-fundamentalism", but I don't really believe that Bush believes in anything strongly enough to associate him with an ideology. Anyway, there are more than half of us Americans who are horrified when we think that the rest of the world associates us with our un-elected Moron-in-Chief. We are working as hard as we can to send him back to his ranch so we can move ahead with trying to heal our country's relations with the rest of the world.
I agree with most of what Richard says above, except that, I don't think it would matter if Bush got a huge majority or if he was selected by the Supreme Court again; no matter how he wins, he will be answerable to no one but the God he believes speaks to him. This is why Tuesday's election is the most important in long memory.
Anyway, thanks for the good wishes. I hope your situation calms down and you come back energized.

Hey,
Have you ever heard of a band called Rage Against the Machine? Good stuff.
Of course you have. Read their lyrics man. Sorry for the random post. I'm sort of one of those "long time listener, first time caller" kinda folks.
Love your blog. Love your thoughts. It's so funny because America is just so bruce springsteen and Rage Against the Machine.
it's so american to be anti-america, and love your president at the same time.
I have no tiffs with bush, I just think it's his time to move on.
it makes me sick that this country has came to a love/hate relationship with bush. Most folks (conservative christians) think Bush is God. The others think he's part of the anti-christ coalition.
Hope this blog doesn't stay on hiatus for too long, but have a blast vacationing (or doing other busy work).
All the best,
Dustin

Anti-americanism on the rise...
I mean really! Anti-americanism has always been the reality in Europe and most of the world. If anything, it has been openly exposed while previously it was relatively under wraps.

You know we were sucked in Australia just as badly. Not only did the Howard govt slander the opposition, blatantly lie for four years, renege on all their promises and let our country gradually degrade its train, hospital and water systems to sub-standard but they had the nerve to say that our country was more prosperous than ever. Sure at the expense of the Australian casual workforce which is the highest in the developed world and represents around 50-60% of all the workforce. Thanks Johnny, oh and did i forget to mention that Sydneysiders often pay half their salary even if renting. As for the class divide, I lived in the UK for 10 years. Class division here is more rife than ever but is based on job, wallet thickness, size of *&^% and what car(s) one drives. So maybe the US public are not alone in that they are punished with another 3-4 years of deceit and lies
